The Serious Stuff - HOUSE RULES
We are committed to making everyone's stay safe and fun. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you need something ☺☺
However, if any of these rules are broken, you risk being evicted.
- Alcohol is only permitted in the common area’s between 12pm – 2am.
- Strictly no alcohol is to be consumed on the property outside these hours.
- Smoking is not permitted inside the building. You may only use the designated smoking areas outside where ashtrays are provided. Smoking fees will apply.
- Do not use hairdryers or straighteners in the rooms as they will set off our fire alarms. If the fire alarm is triggered as a result of your actions and the fire brigade arrives, you will be asked to contribute to the resulting bill, which can be up to $1,000. Be aware!
- Visitors must report to reception & are only permitted between 9am – 9pm. Visitors are not permitted in the dorms at any time.
- The kitchen is locked for cleaning between 2am – 6am. Please be aware there is no access to the kitchen between these hours.
- Check out is 10am. Check outs after 11am will result in loss of key deposit & after 12pm a full day charge.
- Anyone caught with, or suspected to be under the influence of, illegal drugs will be immediately evicted without refund & reported to the police.
- Any inappropriate or unsocial behaviour will result in instant eviction without refund. We only give one warning!
- No food or drinks are to be consumed or stored in any bedrooms.
- The maximum length of stay is 14 nights. Anyone wishing to stay longer must consult with management.
- Rooms must be kept clean & tidy at all times. Please use the drawer provided to store your belongings. Vacant beds must remain clear for new arrivals. Do not hang anything off the beds or out of the windows.
- Sleeping bags are not permitted. Linen is provided & must be returned to reception on check out. Sleeping or loitering in cars on or around the property is not permitted.
- Noise in all areas must be kept to a minimum after 11pm.
- No posters or pictures are to be taped or blue tacked to any walls.
- No amplified music or musical instruments are permitted in rooms.
- Noise in the courtyard must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. Please respect our neighbours!
- Extensions must be paid for by 7pm the night before. If not, you risk losing your bed. Your room must be paid in full by 10am daily.
- Please clean up after yourself in all common areas.
- Guests must be respectful & considerate of others, including staff at all times.
