Habitat HQ are so excited about reducing our carbon footprint that we have started working with Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) in order to get out into our local habitats that need our tender loving care!

Join staff members & get your hands dirty in our local environment! It is fun. You will be helping in a variety of ways by possibly putting up fences, planting trees, weeding areas to protect and preserve native plants, wetlands, gardens and bush area, or even planting gardens! Although the work is physical and unpaid, the rewards are endless. It’s a small way to give back to Mother Nature!

Habitat HQ staff love to contribute to the events program and reduce their carbon footprint, and encourage our guests to get local. Volunteer work is great on your resume & personally satisfying by contributing to preserving our environment.

Most recently staff members and guests (link) went out to Lang Lang and the Elwood Foreshore to irradicate large areas of nasty weeds, preserve park lands and have a bit of fun as well!

To find out about the next Habitat HQ conservation volunteer day check out the Whats On page of our website. Of course Conservation Volunteer Australia (CVA) (link) can give you more information about 1 day or week long volunteer opportunities.

...and if you'd like to see some photos of guests and staff in action, head to our Gallery - Events page! Conservation Volunteer Australia (CVA) (link), Habitat HQ are active in the community & have a supportive arrangement through our Events Guru who organises guests for volunteers for local conservation projects. Check out the Habitat HQ photo Gallery (link) to see the fun & satisfaction our guests have when out in the community.
